Xanadu Villa offers its guests the ultimate in privacy, size and comfort. With 5 bedrooms, 4 baths, a living room and family room, 4 fireplaces and a furnished exercise room, the 4000 sq. ft. along with another 1600 sq. ft. of covered and open patio area, this property offers plenty of options for relaxing, entertaining or a family compound. From the treed 5 acre property you have views of the Jemez Mountains to the West and the Sangre de Cristo mountains and the Santa Fe ski basin to the East. The property is 8 miles North of Santa Fe in the hills of Tesuque with a view of the famous Santa Fe opera from the terrace. There are 10 distinctively different sitting areas with tables and chairs outside the home both covered and open. We have created a unique labyrinth behind the house that is both beautiful and meditative and at night the ring of lights are amazing.
Xanadu Villa is located in the foothills of the Sangre de Christo mountains just 8 miles North of Santa Fe. The fabulous Four Seasons Hotel and Spa are just 1 1/2 miles away and the Santa Fe Opera and Tesuque Casino are just 3 miles up the road and can be seen from the terrace of the home. This is one of the most desired areas of Santa Fe which is why many celebrities have homes here. The sunrise and sunset views are phenomenal as you will see in the photos. It is just a 10 minute drive into town to the famous Santa Fe Plaza, Canyon Road and all the great restaurants. We have great hiking literally out the front door of the house. There are several great areas around the house to sit and enjoy the surroundings, a hammock, and the 800 square foot observation deck that features a sectional sofa and pub table. The views from here are incredible and the sunsets are spectacular. There is also a well furnished exercise room that has a 55" TV.
Xanadu Villa is very unique in the way that it was built and the materials used. The living room and the master bedroom have striking "A" frame ceilings created using beautiful wood beams and wood decking between the beams that create an amazing height in each of the rooms. Lots of wood was also used in the kitchen ceiling and the hardwood floors throughout. The home almost feels like a Chalet. The large family room downstairs and the lower master bedroom also feature beamed ceilings.
